CustomizerGod for Windows
As a rule, in order to design the interface of Windows 7 or 8, you need to use many utilities. For example, to replace the start button with one program, replace the navigation arrows with another, system icons with a third, and so on. Now for all this, you can use only one utility – CustomizerGod. This is a whole complex that will become an indispensable tool for customizers. In one program, a lot of functionality is collected to replace almost all the main graphic elements of the system.
In addition, the program has added additional functions for working with Explorer (shutdown, reboot, start), quick access to system file recovery tools, resource backup, and more.
Be careful, before replacing anything, the program makes a backup copy of the current element, we recommend using it initially on a clean system with a standard design.
It doesn’t work on Windows 10 or Windows 11 so avoid trying to install it as it might break your Windows. Fortunately, most Windows 10 or Windows 11 third-party themes come with full designs by default so they don’t need this tool.
How to Use CustomizerGod?
- If you are using Windows 7 or earlier, you must first install the .NET Framework 4.5.
- Extract the downloaded CustomizerGod file and run (double-click) the CustomizerGod application inside it.
- There are several tabs to design the interface, choose the icon you want to change and click the Change button.
- Add your icon in PNG, JPG, ICO, GIF, or BMP format. (These are available with third-party theme files and some are available online)
- Icons in some third-party files are named based on numbers for easy replacement.
- Find the id numbers of the icon you are going to change and use the icon named with the same id number.
- Hover your mouse cursor over the icon you want to change to see the icon id.
- Once the icon is added explorer will automatically restart and now you will notice that the icon has changed.
I recommend Creating a Restore Point before you install it. This is a great option if you have any problems with your Windows or if it doesn’t fit, you can use a restore point to restore it.
How to restore icons changed by CustomizerGod?
- Select the icons you have customized in this application and click the Restore button. (You can select multiple by pressing the CTRL key or use CTRL+A to select all)
- If there’s a problem and the icon doesn’t change, click All System Files on the setting page. It will run an SFC scan and restore your Windows to its default state, i.e. the state it was in before the icon change.
